DT Electrical was founded in 2009 as a sole trader by Dermot Tiernan. Dermot has over 25 years experience in the electrical trade, working on commercial, retail, large and small domestic projects. Becoming a company in 2017 DT Electrical Pty Ltd is a thriving electrical business with a growing team. Based in Brisbane’s western suburbs, DT Electrical services the whole greater Brisbane area.

Dermot started his career with a mid-size electrical company that quickly became like family. This job saw him work on commercial projects all over Queensland and northern New South Wales. Dermot’s experience allowed him to work as an electrician in both the United Kingdom and Ireland. He loves big commercial projects as well as home renovations because they present new challenges every time. Dermot is passionate about rugby and enjoys travelling. He is a family man with a lovely wife and young son.
Hayden completed his apprenticeship with DT Electrical in early 2020. He enjoys both renovation projects and appliance installation. Hayden is a fast learner and has great attention to detail. He is the ‘manhole specialist’ as his slim chassis fits much better in a roof cavity than Dermot’s. Hayden is a Brisbane boy who enjoys all motorsport and likes to spend his downtime dirt bike riding.
Chris is a qualified carpenter, how does that fit with the team you might ask? He specialises in appliance installation such as range hoods and dryers that need carpentry skills to be fitted in a safe and secure way, not to mention patching holes left by old appliances and cabling. Chris brings the muscle to big projects and is a huge asset to the team. Originally from New Zealand, Chris loves rugby too and is still very active in the sport. He is a new dad and has a loving home life with his wife and son.
Safety is paramount, all work is performed to Australian Electrical Standards by fully qualified and licensed trades people.
